Perilaku Maternal Dan Kesejahteraan Tapir Asia (Tapirus Indicus) Di Taman Margasatwa Ragunan

<p><strong>The asian tapir (<em>Tapirus indicus</em>) population continues to decline so the IUCN establishes its conservation status as endangered. One of efforts that can be done is ex-situ in zoo. The environmental condition zoo different from their natural habitat which results tapirs having adapt. form adaptation behavior change experienced by female tapir. Behavioral changes such not wanting breastfeed threaten survival offspring. This study aims identify maternal through daytime activities, determine response calf, and welfare Taman Margasatwa Ragunan (TMR). Observations were made on one calf. observation was 9.00 14.00 during August 2022 uses focal animal sampling method. show mother does more self care than care.
